Microblading is an advanced form of tattooing during which micro incisions are manually made in the form of strokes to appear as natural eyebrow hairs. Microblading is performed with a hand held device that has tiny, grouped, sharp pin needles, which form a blade. This tool creates small and precise strokes, that when used correctly, gives clients a beautiful full set of brows.
The duration of Microblading varies from client to client, with many factors playing a role. For this reason, the range for the duration of Microblading has a large gap of 1 to 3 years. A brow reassessment is recommended every 12 months, but this decision is ultimately the choice of the client.
No, although some discomfort can be expected, the brow are is first prepared with a local anesthesic. This provides a numbing effect, prevents you from experiencing pain, and allows you to relax during the procedure. Local anesthesia is reapplied half way through the session to maintain comfort.
A minimum of two applications are recommended. The first session is the Initial Application and the second is the Brow Reassessment. In some cases clients may require three sessions and in other cases some clients are content with just one application.
The Brow Reassessment occurs no sooner than 6 weeks. By this time the skin has completely healed. Appointments will not be made prior this time frame in order to allow the area to be completely cured and to avoid adverse effects, such as scarring.
These appointments are handle with so much care. I am very meticulous with my work because these are the brows that you will have on your face. Because of this sessions can last between 2.5 to 3 hours.
Unfortunately, Microblading is not for everyone. While some medical conditions completely disqualify you from getting Microblading, there are also some elective cosmetic procedures that require you to wait before undergoing a Microblade procedure.
